Dialogues for Jazz Combo and Orchestra

....Lord encountered Dialogues for Jazz Combo and Orchestra, the Dave Brubeck Quartet's 1959 collaboration with the New York Philharmonic, conducted by Leonard Bernstein.

A powerful classical/jazz hybrid composed by Brubeck's brother Howard, the album left Lord convinced that R&B and the classics could be similarly married.
