En una interesante entrevista a Derek Lawrence , se revela en parte el misterio en cuanto a los musicos que integraban estas agrupaciones ( y que termino en las sesiones de 1971 de THE GREEN BULLFROG) donde cuenta como podia contar o no con Ritchie Blackmore , Ian Paice o el siempre disponible Chas Hodges para diferentes sesiones siempre con la misma rotacion de musicos pero cambiando el nombre (al mejor estilo Joe Meek con quien Lawrence trabajo)

In an interesting interview with Derek Lawrence, is revealed in part the mystery as to the musicians who formed these groups (which ended in 1971 sessions of THE GREEN BULLFROG) which could count as having or not Ritchie Blackmore, Ian Paice or Chas Hodges always available for different sessions always with the same rotation of music but changing the name (in the style of Joe Meek)

One of several musicians to have emerged from a difficult term with King Crimson into a career with a much more commercially viable future, Boz Burrell first cut his musical teeth as a vocalist with various local bands around the Norfolk area. Upon leaving college he turned professional with Lombard and the Tea Time Four, which, after bringing on board keyboardist Ian McLagan (who would later throw in his lot with The Small Faces), became the jazz-oriented unit The Boz People. In the short years of their existence, The Boz People made a reasonable name for themselves through live performances (occasionally as the backing band for singer Kenny Lynch) and managed to secure a recording deal with Columbia. Four singles were released by the band between '65 and '66 (You're Just the Kind of Girl I Wanted, Meeting Time, Pinnochio, and The Baby Song); public interest remained elsewhere, however, and so the various members ultimately moved on to other projects. A period followed as an itinerant musician amongst a succession of soul groups (The Sidewinders, Feel for Soul), but none of these possessed sufficient focus to establish a lasting presence in the business. During this period Burrell released two singles of cover tunes simply using the name Boz: I Shall Be Released (coupled with a version of Bob Dylan's Down In The Flood)Raymond Boz Burrell (v) , Ritchie Blackmore (g) ,Jon Lord (k) , Chas Hodges (bass) , Ian Paice o Carlo Little (segun Nick Simper) (d) ,Del Newman (arr. The Shindigs - No Ian Paice ...

Ian Paice si estuvo en un grupo llamado The Shindigs ... pero no es el grupo que grabo 2 singles en 1965 y que aparece en tooooodas las discografias (salvo en el DPAS)
Erroneamente se acredita a Paice en estos 2 simples

- 1965 A Little While Back/Why Say Goodbye (SP, UK)

Ian Paice NO toca en estos temas ya que el grupo que grabo estas canciones es un grupo de Crawley

Ian Paice NO plays in these issues since the group recorded these songs is a Crawley group

In the early 60s these Crawley lads were already busy trying to make their name in the music business – and guitar man Allan Bailey and fellow Shindig Mick Platt still take to the stage today as part of The Soho Leg-ends.
The Shindigs started life as The Daltons and were formed by Allan and his friend Graham Gladwin while the pair were at Hazelwick School.
Graham decided not to stay with the group and the original line-up was: Allan (rhythm guitar/vocal), Ken Martin (lead guitar/vocal), Andy Page (bass guitar), Brian Redman (drums) and Frank Bennett and Chris Clark (lead vocals).
The lead vocals were taken over by Bill Warren and Johnny Ball became drummer.
They cut two demos at Tony Pike Music in Putney: an instrumental disc featuring the tracks Big Noise From Winnetka and I’ Got Rhythm and a vocal disc featuring That’s My Girl by Ken Martin and I’m Coming Home by Allan Bailey.
Mick Platt joined as bass player just before the second disc was recorded.
James Cameron joined the group on organ, harmonica and vocals and Andrew J Wood became manager in 1965.
At his suggestion, The Daltons changed their name to The Shindigs – after an American pop show of the time – and they went on to cut two 45s for Parlophone.
The first featured One Little Letter by James Cameron and What You Gonna Do by Allan Bailey. The second featured A Little While Back and Why Say Goodbye, both written by Graham Gouldman later of 10CC fame.
They performed A Little While Back on Friday Night Spectacular for Radio Luxemburg and on TV show The Five O’Clock Club.

Sun Dragon was a group associated with producer Derek Lawrence, and their studio sides included accompaniment by Ritchie Blackmore, Jon Lord, and Ian Paice, in the time after the latter three had given up on Roundabout

Rob Freeman (guitar and vocals)and Ian McLintock (bass and vocals)never quite achieved rock stardom, but it wasn't for a lack of talent or effort, and their career together unwittingly serves as a superb example of the shifting tides of the British rock scene in the 1960s and early '70s.
Freeman and McLintock first worked together in the Others, an R&B combo from Southwest London whose lone single, a cover of Bo Diddley's "Oh Yeah," was a well crafted rave-up in the manner of the Rolling Stones and the Pretty Things.
, along with an unreleased follow-up, but by 1966 the Others had split and Freeman and McLintock had formed a new band, the more pop-oriented Sands. There was more than a bit of nascent psychedelia in Sands' music, especially their cover of the Bee Gees' "Mrs. Gillespie's Refrigerator" and "Listen to the Sky," an original that ends in a bizarre noise coda that quotes Holst's he Planets! After one single Sands fell apart, despite management by Brian Epstein, but Freeman and McLintock soldiered on with a new project, Sun Dragon, which scored an almost-hit with their cover of the Lemon Pipers' "Green Tambourine" in 1968 (with typical luck, their label's pressing plant went on strike as the single was starting to gain radio play, prematurely ending its run on the charts). Sun Dragon's music was more polished and calculatingly commercial than their earlier efforts, with polished production and a strong emphasis on covers, but the group's first and only album

The MI 5 became The Maze and released three singles - one of them in Italy, in Italian! - and an EP. Says Roger Lewis: "The EP we made was recorded in Italy (Milan), in Feb/March 1967, released in France ... It was recorded live - that is, without overdubs as we wanted to reproduce the sound we used to get on stage."
