Peter Cook - Georgia Peter Cook - There And Bach Again
Side A:Don't Cry

One of several musicians to have emerged from a difficult term with King Crimson into a career with a much more commercially viable future, Boz Burrell first cut his musical teeth as a vocalist with various local bands around the Norfolk area. Upon leaving college he turned professional with Lombard and the Tea Time Four, which, after bringing on board keyboardist Ian McLagan (who would later throw in his lot with The Small Faces), became the jazz-oriented unit The Boz People. In the short years of their existence, The Boz People made a reasonable name for themselves through live performances (occasionally as the backing band for singer Kenny Lynch) and managed to secure a recording deal with Columbia. Four singles were released by the band between '65 and '66 (You're Just the Kind of Girl I Wanted, Meeting Time, Pinnochio, and The Baby Song); public interest remained elsewhere, however, and so the various members ultimately moved on to other projects. A period followed as an itinerant musician amongst a succession of soul groups (The Sidewinders, Feel for Soul), but none of these possessed sufficient focus to establish a lasting presence in the business. During this period Burrell released two singles of cover tunes simply using the name Boz: I Shall Be Released (coupled with a version of Bob Dylan's Down In The Flood)Raymond Boz Burrell (v) , Ritchie Blackmore (g) ,Jon Lord (k) , Chas Hodges (bass) , Ian Paice o Carlo Little (segun Nick Simper) (d) ,Del Newman (arr.
A -Thunder And Rain (Howard, Blaikley) 3:07 B -As Time Goes By (Joe Meek) 2:09
Lord Suth & The Roman Empire feat. Ritchie Blackmore
Arvid Andersen (The Three Musketeers) en lugar de Nick Simper ?
Then a stunning self-released demo single entitled "Alone With Fate" backed with "Call It Love" emerged. The material written entirely by Candice and not performed in the typical Blackmore's Night style, is more progressive with rich keyboard-based orchestration. "Alone With Fate" is a stunning number, with Candice clearly on top of her game, lush vocal harmonies adding a lovely texture to the short track. "Call It Love" is a straight-up bluesy ballad sung atop light keyboard accompaniment. The single, produced by Spyros Poulos and engineered by Brian Harding is a collectors' item

From The Anthology Notes : "Since 1972 Purple had used an American Band ELF as its support and Blackmore had grown to admire the vocal talent of its lead singer RONNIE JAMES DIO. He also hankered to record his own version of BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY that purple had rejected - a song he'd heard from the 1970 QUATERMASS album with the plan to make a solo single Blackmore took the opportunity of a couple of days off in Minneapolis mid tour and took Elf in to a studio. For a B-Side he asked Dio to write some lyrics to a tune he had written, which resulted in "Sixteenth Century Greensleeves" Althoug the recording never saw the light of day , the partnership with Dio was sufficiently inspirational for Blackmore to make an entire album recorded in early february of 1975
From Stombringer Notes: Blackmore was keen for them a cover of BLACK SHEEP OF THE FAMILY from Quatermass self-titled debut album on Harverst 1970 ,"I Said to Them, 'Hey look, this is a great song, let's do it on an album" Despite his enthusiasm, and was an inbuilt resistance to doing covers, particulary on record,so the others declined and Blackmore put the idea on hold ...
